Job Description:
The Clinical Director of Admissions is responsible for the day to day oversight of the referral and admission process. Provides supervisory consultation to the admission RNs completing the referral and admission process in all settings. Is accountable for achieving the department’s strategic objectives and meeting CON requirements.

Primary tasks, duties, and responsibilities:
1. Promotes and practices the Hospice mission and values, and follows all policies and procedures of Tidewell Hospice.
2. In collaboration with the VP of Admissions, responsible for planning, development, implementation and evaluation of program policy to assure continuity, compliance and quality of the Tidewell Hospice services.
3. Assigns department priorities, monitors colleague performance, prepares evaluations, makes recommendations for employment, oversees training of new colleagues, promotes positive professional development, builds a relationship of trust and collaborates with VP regarding Human Resources issues.
4. Demonstrates knowledge of and ensures compliance with all CHAP, State, Federal, and local government regulations related to admission policies and procedures.
5. Collaborates effectively with Medical Directors and clinical teams providing care. Analyzes feedback from patients/families/community with the goal of continuously improving satisfaction with the care provided.
6. Monitors complex patient situations and ensures that admission staff anticipates patient and family needs and either address these issues directly or communicate with the team/IDG responsible for the patient’s care. Assists in problem solving individual cases for admission and case management issues.

Educational/Professional:
1. Must possess a clear and active Florida licensure as RN; BSN preferred, CHPN.
2. Minimum 2 years recent community-based hospice or health heath experience required.
3. Previous management experience required; healthcare management preferred.
